In 1983 a group of people who bred Airedale Terriers, decided to start a Club right in the heart of Yorkshire, which is the the birthplace of the Airedale Terrier. They got the approval of the Kennel Club, in 1984 and in 1985 they held their first shows. The club represents Yorkshire and the Eastern Counties areas
In 2005 the club celebrated the 20th anniversary of it's founding with two well attended Open Shows and an Airedale Walk in the Airedale Valley around Bingley.The walk was very much enjoyed by all who attended.
